Thus, it allows a better penetration of topical substances and stimulates the natural regeneration of the skin through the synthesis of collagen and elastin.
The treatment will lead to the fading of scars and stretch marks, fine wrinkles, hyperpigmentation spots, but it is also used successfully in the case of hair loss.

frequent questions

How does microneedling feel?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that is very well tolerated, associating minimal pain during the procedure and quick recovery.

Sensations during the procedure may vary depending on the level of individual sensitivity, the treated area or the depth to which these needles have penetrated. Patients with greater sensitivity to pain may experience minor discomfort.

How does the skin look after the treatment?

After the procedure, the skin may be red (erythematous) and inflamed (edematous), similar to a mild sunburn. p

small ecchymoses (bruises), micro-bleeding points (which close after 10-15 minutes), itching or stinging will still appear. Some people may experience slight peeling of the skin as the skin heals and regenerates.

Usually, the recovery period lasts 48-72 hours.

Is there any risk of infection?

Infection in the treated area is unlikely because the procedure is performed under sterile conditions. Post procedure recommendations must be followed.

How does Dermapen work?

Dermapen involves the use of a device with disposable heads containing small fine needles to create micro-channels in the skin, with variable depth depending on the therapeutic need. Thus, the production of collagen and elastin will be stimulated, which will lead to firmer and smoother skin. At the same time, nutrients will be able to penetrate to the necessary depth through these microchannels, thus increasing their therapeutic efficiency.

What restrictions do we have after Dermapen?

  • Avoid direct exposure to the sun or other sources of UV radiation for at least 2 weeks. Due to the inflammation generated, it is necessary to apply daily cream with UVA and UVB protection filter (SPF 50), with reapplying every 2 hours.
  • Avoiding saunas and steam rooms for 2 weeks as the heat can further irritate already sensitized skin.
  • Avoiding strenuous exercise for the first 7-14 days.
  • To eliminate the risk of infections, we avoid applying make-up for the first 24 hours.
  • We do not apply irritating substances to the face.
