frequent questions

What substances are used in facial mesotherapy?

Mixtures of substances called "cocktails" depending on the desired effect. They may contain: vitamins and minerals, amino acids; coenzymes, nucleic acids and antioxidants.

How does mesotherapy work?

The procedure involves micro-injections of simple hyaluronic acid or enhanced with other compounds, directly into the epidermis and mesoderm (intermediate layer), which helps to nourish and rejuvenate the skin, stimulate cellular activity and collagen and elastin production.

What do you feel during mesotherapy?

Before starting the facial mesotherapy procedure, an anesthetic cream is applied locally to reduce the chances of feeling pain or discomfort. Thus, the procedure is not painful and is minimally invasive because the needles cause micro-stings that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

How long does a mesotherapy session last and how many do I need?

  • The duration of a session can be 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the area to be treated. The recommended interval between sessions is 2 weeks, and the minimum number of sessions to obtain optimal results is 4-5 consecutive sessions.

What restrictions do we have after the injection?

  • Do not apply makeup on the treated area for 24 hours.
  • Do not smoke for 72 hours; nicotine accelerates the resorption of hyaluronic acid.
  • Avoid air travel for the first 2 days after the injection.
  • Do not massage the injected area.
